It was built in 1963 as one of the first Alaska marine highway ships connecting together the Island and coastal communities of Alaska and providing passenger and vehicle links to the lower 48 states through the Ferry terminal in Bellingham, Washington. There are over fifty people of all ages included in this drawing, including passengers, deck crew, stewards,
