1896 $1 "Educational" Silver Certificates Fr. 224 - Choice Very Fine+ 14K Gold captured on a 1/4 ounceThe obverse of "History Instructing Youth" has made the $1 "Educational Note" one of the most iconic of early U. S. currency. Washington, DC can be seen in the background and the fancy reverse features vignettes of both Martha & George Washington. Choice VF (singular center fold), no splits, 2 very fine pinholes visible when held to light, virtually no discoloration and displays amazing contrast and bright green reverse.
