The grapes are pressed directly with no time on the skin at all, lending the wine a pale pink color. The Altesse ages for one year, the Gamay for two, yielding a non vintage blend. Tasting notes: nose of strawberries and peach, fresh pink roses in the rain, granite, wintergreen. Palate is light, lemony, white strawberries and canned peaches. Outrageously good.
